Someone has the idea that they can close some schools and use the figures the figures for the other 3. WRONG, you would have to add much more room, running the figures thru the roof for them. Can you imagine buying enough land in Wise to make classroom for Pound's kids? Same deal, except for the travel.

Since it is easier to do nothing that is exactly what I expect to be done (May need another study every few years to give the illusion of progress)

And heck if things get to bad we can always clean out the Libraries and any use that space

Wondering how long it will be till Wise Co is Harlan Co, as stated in this thread.

To those confused, that means forced to consolidate by the state.

Then the terms won't be quite as people-friendly. It will be more dictated.

Not sure that can happen in Virginia. With NOVA lawmakers pushing to keep a bigger share of state money in there schools it will leave us in the less populated areas of the state with a smaller and smaller share of the pie but hay so long as we keep our community schools the students can get buy will a little less than the students in NOVA not like a better education will help out in getting that job in the call center or coal mines

Since when is someone's personal life or their screen name in question here?

well usually someone's screen name is something that is representative of them, since that is the only way that we know someone on the board, so in a sense you are saying that you are represented by aphrodite.
It's not that I'm questioning your personal life, which you were quick to defend, but the simple fact of the matter is, if you are going to post some of your previous comments, then you better be ready for the fallout. Open your eyes, step out of the shadow of the holler and look around you.
